At North Wellington, we are passionate about promoting women's and girls' participation in football. We offer various programs and initiatives tailored to girls who wish to immerse themselves in the beautiful game. Whether it's playing in mixed teams on Saturdays or joining our Girls Only Sunday League (GOSL), we have options to suit everyone's preferences.
Wondering which grade you can play in? For Saturday Mixed Football, female players have the option to request to play "down a grade" without needing special permission. To help clarify eligibility for the 2024 season, we've prepared a table outlining the details.
When it comes to the Girls Only Sunday League, our grading system is slightly different. Grades in GOSL are organized into two-year bands instead of single years, providing a unique structure for our girls' teams.
Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, there's a place for you in our girls' football programs at North Wellington Football Club!
Grade | Birth Year |
U8 | 2017, 2018 |
U10 | 2015, 2016 |

We have made changes to the way our regional sides in grades 11 and 12 will operate for the 2024 season.
Here is an outline of the changes to the selection process, and the training/fee structure.
U11, U12 and U12 GOSL players will have the opportunity to be considered for selection in a regional pool of players corresponding to their age group.
The selection process will identify a training group of 24 players (maximum).
Each Regional Pool will be assigned a “Club Coach” to work alongside their volunteer team coaches and facilitate training sessions with the assistance of the Junior Development Manager.
Volunteer coaches will take their respective teams each weekend.
Each of the regional Pools will train twice per week 1 session on artificial turf and 1 session on grass
In addition to their $165 season subscription, regional players will be required to pay an additional $80 each Term.
To ensure a positive and respectful environment for everyone involved, we uphold the North Wellington Football Club's code of conduct. You can find the full details of our code of conduct Here
