Who We Are

Ki Te Tūāraki | To the North

We are North Wellington Football Club

Founded in 1972 after an amalgamation of Onslow (founded 1934) & Johnson Villa (founded 1951) clubs. Merging with Newlands Paparangi United in 1992. Today we are North Wellington Football Club facilitating football for our community. We have a true linear pathway for all footballers from age 4 to elite with every opportunity inbetween.

The original club colours of Sky Blue & Claret are from the Johnson Villa club, todays Home and Away kits are a nod to the past, incorporating both the Sky Blue and the Claret, with the more modernised Dark Blue.

North Wellington Football Club is proudly one of the largest clubs in Wellington with close to 1,000 playing members and 70+ teams clubwide.

2023 was an extremely successful year for the club in the Youth space – all 4 of our sides competing in their respective leagues in the Talent Development Programme (TDP) won their leagues, U13, U14, U15, U17, this has not been achieved previously.

We wish to extend a welcome to all Football supporters to Alex Moore Park, also all Officials and Players from various clubs around the region.
